We had a lovely stay here. We were lucky enough to have the resort when there were only 1 or 2 other guests so felt like our own private island. The room was clean and tidy - hot water was not initially working but the staff quickly sorted it. The food was excellent - large plates of food, large pizza was good size for sharing, breakfast was cereal, toast, fresh fruits and usually 2 or 3 options of freshly baked things such as scones, pancakes, fried bread etc. The staff were lovely, friendly and so so helpful. The pool was clean and refreshing and pool loungers were great. Beach was nice, coral reef with a range of colorful fish living in it however visibility wasn't super clear due to location but still very fun to have a snorkel in. Resort had snorkel and fins but no masks to use. We brought our own gear so was not an issue. We kayaked the whole island - cool experience. We went at high tide so we could kayak over all the reef areas very clear water out the back- note alot of the kayaks have holes in the hull due to past guests dragging them over coral. Pays to check the hull to ensure no holes before you take them out. Rubbish from mainland sadly washes up on this pretty island so there is rubbish further along the beaches and in the mangroves. The staff keep the beaches clean in front of the villas, didn't affect us but was sad to see how the some of people living on the mainland treat their country. Overall a nice peaceful stay with easy access to mainland.

We had a great experience! 3 couples with small children, the kids and adults had the best time, the place is not crowded at all so you feel like the place is all for yourself. Sai, iovani, Wi, Bill, Aki, the male waiters in the morning and the evening, the kitchen staff and housekeeping, all offered great service, super friendly, and they sing for guests at dinner time, such good singers!!!! the tents have everything you need, we had one right by the water felt such a luxury. There is great snorkeling reef right in front of the place, the pool was great too, best place we stayed in Fiji. The only thing I don't recommend is the island hopping tour, the staff is great and super friendly but the actual tour is not good you dont get much time in each island, and they dont include the snorkling gear, not worth it as the beach at the glamping is as good or better, doesn't add any value and it is expensive.

Don’t come here if you don’t like sand littered with coral and seashells, swimming in amazing coral reefs, watching once in a lifetime sunrise and sunsets, swinging in hammocks between palm trees, and being the honored guests of the most kind, good-humored, talented Fijian hosts, and eating delicious food made from fresh local ingredients by a talented chef. Were the complainers in other reviews telling the truth? T or F: The only equipment available for activities were 2 kayaks, snorkel gear and a catamaran that could be reserved with a guide. - TRUE. The spa/massage was in disrepair, the face rest needed better padding but the massage therapist was excellent. - TRUE. The food at Beachcomber resort was better than Nakelo Tr. Is. - FALSE The daily activities calendar was organized and fun and the culture and language classes were worthwhile. - TRUE The infinity pool was yucky. - FALSE There was litter and broken stuff around the resort. - TRUE Some rooms had plumbing issues. - TRUE The turtle nursery was gross and not properly maintained. - FALSE As a marine biology teacher, I was so thrilled at the stewardship of the hawksbill turtles. Being in their presence is very moving. This island is the turtles’ breeding ground. There were no bugs. - FALSE Yes, there were mosquitoes. Honestly not as bad as Michigan or Alaska summer, or Florida. I think all the beautiful birds take care of the bugs… THE BEDS WERE CLEAN! TRUE.
